Contacting us
If you contact us by e-mail or via our contact form, the data you provide (name, e-mail address, subject and message) will be stored by us for 24 months in order to process your request and in the event of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent. The legal basis is the initiation or performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering your request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Collection and processing of your data, purpose limitation
E-mail enquiries are received by our own mail server. We do not pass on data you provide by e-mail to third parties without your consent (except where required by law), and we use it solely to process your request.
Newsletter
You can sign up for our newsletter on our website. For this we process your first and last name and your e-mail address. Sign-up uses a double-opt-in procedure: after registering, you receive an e-mail with which you confirm your subscription. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We use the service provider Revinate, Inc. (USA) as a processor to manage and send the newsletter; the transfer to the USA is based on appropriate safeguards pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR (standard contractual clauses of the European Commission). You can withdraw your consent at any time – via the unsubscribe link in every newsletter or by e-mail to dasloft@so-hotels.com.
Table reservations
Table reservations are not made on our website but via the external reservation platform SevenRooms. When you click a reservation button, you leave our website; data entered there is governed by the SevenRooms privacy policy.
Cookies and consent management
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies (e.g. localStorage). We set technically necessary, functional cookies on the basis of our legitimate interest in the functioning of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). All other services are loaded only after your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
On your first visit, our consent banner asks which categories you want to allow:
Functional – technically necessary, always active (e.g. session cookie, storage of your consent).
Statistics – Google Analytics 4 for anonymous reach measurement.
Marketing – Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel to measure the performance of our advertising.
External content – embedded third-party content (videos, map, job board).
Before you consent, no scripts from these providers are loaded and no data is transmitted to them. Your selection is stored locally in your browser. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future – via the “Manage consent” link at the bottom of every page.
Web analytics with Google Analytics 4
If you have consented to the “Statistics” category, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse the use of our website (e.g. pages visited, time spent, browser used). IP addresses are not logged; they are truncated before processing. We have disabled Google Signals and personalised advertising features; the data is used for statistics only. In addition to page views, we record events such as clicks on the reservation button, newsletter sign-ups and submitted enquiries – without names, e-mail addresses or any form content. Data may be transferred to servers of Google LLC in the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Meta Pixel
If you have consented to the “Marketing” category, we use the Meta Pixel of Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Meta”). It allows us to measure the performance of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram (conversion measurement): page views are recorded, along with events such as clicks on the reservation button, newsletter sign-ups and submitted enquiries. We do not transmit names, e-mail addresses or any form content to Meta. Meta may link this information to your Meta account and process it for its own purposes; data may be transferred to the USA (Meta Platforms, Inc. is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework). We are jointly responsible with Meta for the collection and transmission of this data (Art. 26 GDPR); the subsequent processing is Meta’s sole responsibility. TikTok Pixel
If you have consented to the “Marketing” category, we also use the TikTok Pixel of TikTok Technology Limited, 10 Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin, D02 T380, Ireland. It allows us to measure the performance of our advertising on TikTok; page views and the events mentioned above are recorded – without names, e-mail addresses or any form content. TikTok may transfer data to third countries outside the European Economic Area, including the USA and Singapore; the safeguards used are the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission. Embedded third-party content
Some content on our website comes from third parties: the location map (MapTiler AG, Switzerland – an adequacy decision of the European Commission exists for Switzerland), embedded videos (YouTube/Google, Vimeo) and our job board (Connectoor). This content is only loaded once you have consented to the “External content” category. When it loads, your IP address is transmitted to the respective provider, which may set its own cookies. Without consent, we show a placeholder with the essential information and a direct link to the provider instead.
The Instagram images on our website are served by our own server; your browser does not connect to Meta. Only when you click an image or the Instagram link do you go to Instagram; from then on, Meta’s privacy policy applies.
Your rights
In principle, you have the rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, withdrawal and objection. You can withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your data protection rights have otherwise been infringed, you can lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Datenschutzbehörde (Austrian Data Protection Authority).
